Representative Nelson and Leif Elder, Director of Policy and Legislative Affairs, Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), spoke about highway naming and answered committee questions.
MOTION: Representative Ward moved to open a committee bill file about highway naming. Representative Nelson summarized the motion.The motion passed with a vote of 14-1-3.

Jared Esselman presented an overview of state aircraft and answered committee questions.

Jared Esselman presented about user fees for state airplanes.
6.Airport Owner Report (15 minutes)

Brady Fredrickson, Director of Planning and Capital Programming, Salt Lake City Department of Airports, presented the airport owner report and answered committee questions.
7.Roadway Safety Update (20 minutes)

Colonel Mike Rapich, Utah Highway Patrol (UHP), and Major Jeff Nigbur, UHP, presented an update on roadway safety and answered committee questions.
