ELECTED OFFICIALS AND JUDICIAL COMPENSATION COMMISSION

1.Welcome/Call to Order

Chair Clark called the meeting to order at 11:57 a.m.

Chris Peterson answered a question from the chair.

2.Elected Official Compensation Discussion

DHRM Presentation

John Baron, Division Director of DHRM presented data regarding wage comparisons for Utah Elected Officials.

Mysti Miskimins,Total Rewards Director for the state, responded to a question from the chair.

Chair Clark requested additional information regarding indirect compensation for non-constitutional officers.

Kevin Van Tassel requested clarification regarding budget surplus monies.

John Baron responded.

3.Other Business

Ann Hannibal inquired as to the number of vacancies within the AG's office. Kevin Van Tassel asked for that information prior to the next meeting.

Curt Slaw, Chief Deputy from the Treasurer's Office, addressed the commission and reported similar concerns to the AG's report.

Sam Alba asked whether the Courts have submitted the previously requested information.

Chris Peterson responded.
