Julie Anderson, Weber Communities That Care, spoke of the need to fund opioid coalitions. |
|
Jeff Silvestrini, Mayor, Millcreek, and representing the Utah League of Cities and Towns, requested funding for shelters. |
|
Cherie Wood, Mayor, City of South Salt Lake, encouraged increased funding for homeless shelters. |
|
David Parke, Home Instead, requested funding for home-based care. |
|
Holly Pokorny, Danville Support Services, requested funding for home-based care. |
|
Tausha Dingman, citizen, spoke in support of funding for care giver compensation. |
|
Anneli Smith, citizen, requested support for home care giver compensation. |
|
Pamela Alsop, citizen, spoke in favor of funding for home care giver compensation. |
|
Christina Winters, citizen, spoke of the need for funding family care givers in the home. |
|
Tiffany Barker, citizen, spoke in opposition to government funding for Encircle House. |
|
Marcus Stevenson, Mayor, Midvale City, spoke in support of funding for communities hosting homeless shelters. |
|
Rep. Ivory commented on the Legislature's promise to offset the costs cities bear when the state told them to provide shelters and support for the homeless. |
|
Dan Dougan, Salt Lake City Council, spoke in support of funding for homeless support systems borne by cities. |
|
Sen. Anderegg commented on Salt Lake City's need to work with the Legislature rather than push back. |
|
Nigel Swaby, citizen, spoke of the need for a safe space for the homeless to have shelter. |
