Gary Harter, Executive Director, Department of Veterans and Military Affairs, spoke in support of the resolution.
Terry Schow, National Executive Committeeman, Utah American Legion, spoke in support of the resolution.
Joe Martinez, United Steelworkers representative, spoke in support of the resolution.
MOTION:Rep. Burton moved to pass H.C.R. 12 out favorably.
SUBSTITUTE MOTION:Rep. Thurston moved to hold H.C.R. 12.
After committee discussion, the motion was withdrawn.
SUBSTITUTE MOTION:Rep. Dunnigan moved to amend H.C.R. 12 with Amendment #1.The substitute motion passed with a vote of 13-0-3.
