1.Call to Order/Approval of Minutes
Chair Peterson (assuming the chair) called the meeting to order at 1:22 p.m..
Chair Peterson recognized and introduced members of the committee staff, Nate Osborne and Alejandra Rodriguez.
2.OLAG Audit: A Performance Audit of Utah's Property Tax System A Case for Increased Accountability and Transparency
2-BEDL - Performance Audit Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing
Gary Syphus provided information on the Performance Audit on Utah's Property Tax System.
Chair Peterson introduced the Auditors from the Office of the Legislative Auditor General.
Leah Blevins, Audit Manager, and Clint Yingling, Performance Auditor, from the Office of the Legislative Auditor's Office, presented the Performance Audit of Utah's Property Tax System.
Chair Watkins resumed the chair.
Rep. Teuscher asked questions. Leah Blevins and Clint Yingling responded.
Joshua Nielsen, Director, Property Tax Division, presented an Agency Response report.
Rep. Peterson asked a question. Joshua Nielsen responded and answered Rep. Teuscher's previous question.
3.2024 General Session Funding Review
Nate Osborne presented a 2024 General Session Funding Review report.
4.Accountable Process Budget
4-BEDL - Accountable Process Budget
Gary Syphus introduced the Accountable Process Budget.
Alejandra Rodriguez presented the Accountable Process Budget for the Utah State Labor Commission.
Jaceson Maughan, Commissioner, Utah Labor Commission, presented a report on the Utah Occupational Safety and Health (UOSH).
Rep. Peterson asked a question. Jaceson Maughan responded.
Gary Syphus added Federal Fund budget recommendations to the Commission.
Alejandra Rodriguez presented the Accountable Process Budget for the Utah State Tax Commission.
MOTION:Rep. Peterson moved to approve the Minutes from February 6, 2024.The motion passed with a vote of 9-0-7.

Gary Syphus presented the BEDL Line-item Performance Measures.

Rep. Defay made a request to have the Chairs draft a letter for the proposed motion on page 10, items 12 through 18.
