2 - Refugee Services Presentation (Department of Workforce Services)
Kevin Burt, Deputy Director, Department of Workforce Services (DWS), and Mario Kljajo, Director, Refugee Services Office, presented on refugees in the state of Utah and the missions, impacts, goals, and services of the Refugee Services Office.
Kevin Burt requested that the committee open a committee bill to codify the Refugee Services Office.
MOTION:Sen. Winterton moved to open a committee bill file to codify the Refugee Services Office.The motion passed with a vote of 11-0-6.

4.Workforce Services
3 - Workforce Programs Presentation (DWS)
Liz Carver, Division Director, Workforce Development Division, Department of Workforce Services (DWS), presented on the services provided by the DWS to support workforce development in the state of Utah.
Sarah Brenna, Director, Utah State Office of Rehabilitation, DWS, presented on who qualifies for vocational rehabilitation services and what the services the Office of Rehabilitation provides for those individuals.
Sarah Brenna answered questions from the committee.
Eric Hutchings, Director of Legislative Affairs and Policy, Department of Corrections, introduced Dan Chestnut and the Division of Reentry and Rehabilitation, which was created this past legislative session.
Dan Chestnut, Director, Division of Reentry and Rehabilitation, gave an update on the efforts, goals, services, and impact of the division so far, with a focus on viewing currently and previously incarcerated individuals as individuals instead of as a group.
Dan Chestnut and Eric Hutchings answered questions from the committee.
Dan Chestnut continued presenting, and he and Eric Hutchings continued to answer questions throughout.

4 - Return to Work Presentation (Talent Ready Utah)
Vic Hockett, Associate Commissioner, Talent Ready Utah, introduced Talent Ready Utah and their Return to Work initiative.
Jimmy McDonough, Director of Higher Education Initiatives, Talent Ready Utah, presented on the Return to Work initiative's objectives, collaboration efforts, and services they are providing.
Bethany Coates, Founder and CEO, Breakline, presented on the efforts of BreakLine to help job seekers find employers.
Bethany Coates answered questions from the committee.
Jimmy McDonough introduced Trina Limpert and Tech-Moms.
Trina Limpert, Co-Founder and Director of Operations, Tech-Moms, gave a high-level overview of Tech-Moms and presented on their returnship and job shadowing program.

Rhonda Bailey, Associate General Counsel, Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel, presented on draft legislation, "Board of Tourism Development Amendments."

Rhonda Bailey presented on draft legislation, "Native American Remains Review Committee Amendments."
