Chair Sandall called the meeting to order at 8:38 a.m.

Lacey Moore presented on the Public Lands Policy Coordinating Office.
Joel Ferry, Executive Director, Department of Natural Resources, and Redge Johnson, Executive Director, Public Lands Policy Coordinating Office, provided clarification.
Chair Sandall asked for additional information, and Redge Johnson and Joel Ferry responded.
Rep. Lund inquired regarding performance measures and funding, and Redge Johnson responded.
Rep. Albrecht requested clarification, and Redge Johnson and Joel Ferry responded.
Lacey Moore reported on the School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration.
Ivan Djambov reported on the Division of Outdoor Recreation and Division of State Parks.
Sen. McCay requested further clarification on fee structures, and Ivan Djambov responded.
Chair Sandall shared his thoughts on fee policy. Sen. McCay responded.
Sen. Winterton commented on golf course fees.
Scott Strong, Director, State Parks, provided additional information.
Rep. Albrecht shared his thoughts on fees.
Rep. Shipp remarked on government competing with private businesses.

Jamie Barnes, State Forester and Director, Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands, presented.
Chair Sandall emphasized the importance of reducing the number of human caused fires, and Jamie Barnes responded.
Rep. Albrecht expressed appreciation for the work of the director and staff.
Rep. Barlow requested clarification on funding, and Jamie Barnes responded.
6.Funding for Emergency Replacement of Dams

Teresa Wilhelmsen, State Engineer and Director, Division of Water Rights, and Candice Hasenyager, Director, Division of Water Resources, presented the information.
Rep. Chew asked what caused the crack in the Panguitch Lake Dam, and Teresa Wilhelmsen responded.
Sen. Don Ipson provided an update on the Panguitch Lake Dam.
Rep. Albrecht provided additional information on efforts to repair the Panguitch Lake Dam.
Chair Sandall asked a question about culinary water in Panguitch Lake, and Teresa Wilhelmsen responded.
7.Division of Wildlife Funding for Non-game Species
7) Funding for Non-game Species (DWR)
J. Shirley, Director, Division of Wildlife Resources, and Sarah Seegert, Chief, Recovery Program, presented.
Chair Sandall remarked on the importance of preventing species being listed.
Rep. Shipp asked about the status of prairie dogs in Iron County, and Sarah Seegert responded.
Rep. Snider shared ideas to better fund the Species Protection Account.
Sen. Winterton requested clarification on the process of listing endangered species, and J. Shirley responded.
8.Other Business
Lacey Moore gave a brief update on Animal Industry Performance Measures.
