MOTION:Rep. Thurston moved to add Pricing Transparency to the 2026 interim study item list and approve the list, as amended.The motion passed with a vote of 10-0-10.

MOTION:Rep. Thurston moved to allow the chairs to open committee bill files if the chairs determine an issue requires expediency, the issue is on the approved study item list, and the chairs notify notify the committee before opening a committee bill file.

Ron Dressler, Director, Division of Industrial Accidents, described the Workers' Compensation Advisory Council's membership and duties, and answered questions from the committee.

Dave Davis, President, Utah Retail Merchants Association, presented information on currency availability and rounding policies.
Ericka Evans, Executive Director, Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services (DABS), and Todd Darrington, Deputy Director, DABS, presented information on how the department has handled currency availability.
