Passage of this bill could increase local sales tax revenues by approximately $56,368,000 in FY 1998 and by $74,400,000 in FY 1999. If all counties were to adopt the increase, there would be a corresponding reduction in property tax revenues of the same amount. The Sales and Use Tax Administration Fees Account would increase by approximately $868,000 in FY 1998 and by $1,146,000 in FY 1999. An appropriation of $259,000 in FY 1998 from the Sales and Use Tax Administration Account to the Tax Commission would be required in FY 1998.
