Passage of this bill could decrease Uniform School Fund Revenues by $40,000,000 in FY 1998 if school districts were to allow 5 percent of their students to transfer to private schools. The effect in future years would be dependent on the flow of revenues out of the school districts, which would potentially offset the effect of the bill. The Tax Commission would require an appropriation of $40,500 from the Uniform School Fund to implement the provisions of the bill.
