The fiscal impact of the implementation of this bill is not possible to estimate, due to the uncertainty of the number of schools that would adopt a uniform policy, the number of students who would apply for a waiver, and the cost of the uniforms. At the maximum, the statewide total cost could be $3.5 million. It is much more likely however, that few schools would adopt the policy and that fee waivers would be minimal.
