HB0178 - Penalties for Under Age Possession of Tobacco

State Impact:
For the cases going to the State Juvenile Court, those cases formerly held by a hearings officer would have to be seen by a judge. Additional cost to the courts is approximately $48,300. Cost for Drivers License for 1,700 additional suspensions and reinstatements is approximately $3,200. Revenue from additional fees collections is estimated at $42,500 for the Transportation Restricted-Public Safety Fund.
