SB4003 - New School Year Supplemental Public Education Budget Adjustments

State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill appropriates $1,900,000 one-time from the General Fund, $25,330,600 ongoing and ($1,900,000) one-time from the Education Fund to the Minimum School Program. Enactment of this bill also appropriates $120,000 from the Interest and Dividends Account to the Utah State Office of Education. This bill appropriates an increase of 8,913 weighted pupil units for FY 2013. Further, enactment of this bill transfers $20,500,000 in nonlapsing balances from the Minimum School Program and the Utah State Office of Education to the Education Fund.

School districts, charter schools, and state education agencies may see an increase in state funding levels depending on their participation in programs contained in this bill.
