The Utah State University Energy Initiative is focused on the development of energy recapturing technology and monitoring of air quality in northeastern Utah.
During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $598,500 from all sources for USU Energy Initiative. This is a 39.7 percent reduction from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $598,500 from the General/Education Funds, a reduction of 33.5 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.
