Dear Representative,

SB249 will make construction and maintenance of pedestrian and bicycle paths a part of the purpose of state transportation.

State transportation is expensive and extensive enough already!

This bill will expand the put at risk the property rights of land owners who have any land next to the Utah highways.

The right to own and control property is one of our most fundamental rights.  Please don't subject property to possible condemnation for the sake of "efficiency and safety."

Of course it might be more efficient and safe not to have to watch out for pedestrians and cyclists, but once we are 100% safe we will have no liberty left.

PLEASE vote NO on SB249.

Sincerely,
Sharon Anderson
