I do not support using Eminent Domain to take away private property in order for the state to develop recreational trails.  The bill discussed below will be under discussion today on Utah's Capitol Hill. Please read the e-mail below (please be sure that the semi-colon ; is in between each name, or the e-mail will not send correctly - you can do this by doing a copy and paste).

Thanks!

Subject: Senate Bill 249 (trail in Ogden Canyon)

All:

I normally don’t do this, but I am asking for help.  I am going down to the Capitol today to fight a bill to put a trail in Ogden Canyon.

I am not opposed to a trail in the canyon. If it were there, I would use it. What I am opposed to is the way the state wants to get the property to build the trail. They are disguising the bill as a public safety bill, and propose to add a loophole to impose public domain to take property if the property owner refuses to sell or negotiate. Roads and schools I can understand doing this, but not for a trail.

Copy the below emails into your BCC address and help me to stop this. Thanks
