Would you put up with a decision-making process in which one woman was allowed to speak for every five men? At home? At work?
This is the reality in our government:
Women make up only 18% of our Congress, and – even more appalling – women of color make up only 4.5%.
How can our government serve the American people when it doesn’t accurately reflect us?
Quite frankly, I don’t believe it can – at least not effectively.
The truth is, amazing Democratic women are running to change the face of government right now, but they need our help to win.
That’s why our Off The Sidelines movement matters so much, and it’s the focus of my new book,
Off the Sidelines: Raise Your Voice, Change the World.
If you make a donation of $5 or more to my Off The Sidelines movement before Sept. 30, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a signed copy.
With a seemingly endless supply of Republicans dead-set on turning back the clock when it comes to family and medical leave, a woman’s right to choose and paycheck fairness, we MUST send progressive, Democratic women to office to defend the issues that impact our lives.
Thanks to your support, Off The Sidelines candidates are already making huge strides toward claiming seats in our country’s governors’ mansions, House, and Senate,
but we aren’t there yet, and we need to fight all the way to Election Day.
Your donation is an investment in these incredible candidates, and in getting the representation of women closer to the 51% that we deserve. Donate $5 or more and your name will be entered to win one of three signed copies of my new book.
Thank you for joining our movement – your support means everything.
