Subject: Legal immigration is the law, isn’t it?

Dear Representative,

It was Benjamin Franklin who coined the phrase, “Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God.”  This phrase inspired Thomas Jefferson, who made the (slightly modified) quote, “When injustice becomes law, rebellion becomes duty.”

Yet, in the case of immigration, we have the reverse of this.  The motto the federal government seems to prescribe is, “When justice becomes law, rebellion becomes duty.”

In the United States our just and correct “original” system of immigration has given way to political correctness on the pretense of compassion.  We’re not talking about the exception, where a few immigrants slip through the cracks.  Illegal immigration has become a tidal wave of undocumented non-U.S. citizens entering our land for the purpose of being the recipients of socialism in the form of medical care, housing, food subsidies, and schooling.

Allowing this influx of theft to America’s prosperity has set in motion a process in which the plundered classes, rather than seeking to abolish the perversion of newly proposed Amnesty and Immigration laws, are instead striving to get in on it.

Last month Sheriff Arpaio in Maricopa County, AZ made the statement that, “The White House is incompetent and the dumping of illegals is intentional.” See The Independent American Party couldn't agree more.  Arpaio, with parents who came into this country legally through a deliberately hard process, has worked extensively on both sides of the southern border and doubts that most politicians have a clue of the conditions in Mexico or the southern United States.  He cites extensive drug and gang related mayhem.  “When criminals are deported,” he says, “it doesn't seem to take long before they reappear in the United States — sometimes 10 or 15 times.”   Arpaio has written to the new secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson about the problem of repeat offenders but has yet to receive a satisfactory response.

As a state legislator, please work to secure the borders of our state, even if it means state nullification of a careless federal government.  State citizens trust in you to enact legislation that will lead to the security of their life, liberty and property.  Firm legislation at the state level will lead to enforcement of law, instead of non-U.S. citizens residing illegally and contributing to legalized plunder, let alone violent crime.

The citizens you serve have confidence in you, as does the Independent American Party.
