Dear Scott,
School's out for summer, and we hope you enjoy the long days, the bright sunshine, and the slower pace of the season.  While you're taking the time to relax, we at the Ogden School Foundation are still working hard to set up the programs and opportunities our students need as they continue to excel.  We will be ready to greet these fresh faces when they return in August!

Please look through this newsletter and see if there are areas where you might be able to lend a hand.  Our students are the most valuable asset we have; let's make sure we are giving them our very best!

Golf Classic 2014
We had a great day at our annual Golf Classic on May 15.  The  w eather was  perfect, the course was beautiful, and we raised over $72,000 for the students in the Ogden School District! Thanks to our generous sponsors and to all who participated in this fun event.  We can't wait to see you again next year!
Donor Spotlight: Lindquist Mortuaries
From Utah pioneer times to today, the Lindquist family and its trusted associates have for five generations served not only families in need, but our communities as well. Such service includes leading roles in northern Utah's business community, nearly 30 years of sponsoring the annual 24th of July Pops Concert and Fireworks at Weber State University, and donating to the construction of Lindquist Field in Ogden, home of the Ogden Raptors. Service is deeply ingrained in their culture as we rear our families, serve in our churches, communities, and schools, and experience the interruption of relationships when our loved ones pass on.  The Lindquist family's high standards are reflected in its efforts to make our communities better places to live.

For these reasons, Lindquist Mortuaries and Cemeteries also contributes to many charitable causes in our local area, the Ogden School Foundation being one. They believe that future generations, their education and successes will help Ogden remain a great place to live and do business.

The Ogden School Foundation thanks Lindquist Mortuaries for their continued support!

Ogden Raptors Night Coming Soon!
Take me out to the ballgame! On August 29, the Ogden School Foundation is creating a special opportunity for our local economically-disadvantaged youth to attend an Ogden Raptors game, but we need YOUR HELP!!  We are currently looking for sponsors to help us fund this event, which will bring together students, their families and teachers for a memorable evening at the ballpark, complete with all of the traditions like hot dogs, popcorn, meeting the players, running with the mascot, getting autographs and more.  We hope you will "team up" with us as we enjoy a "grand slam" for the students we serve!

Festival of the Arts 2014
We have some amazing artists in the Ogden School District!  In May, hundreds of our students participated in the annual "Festival of the Arts."  Sponsored by the Ogden Union Station, Ogden City Arts, Target, and the Ogden School Foundation, these young artists wowed us with their diversity in expression and some truly unique and beautiful pieces of art.  The Ogden School Foundation believes strongly in encouraging the arts in our schools.
