How You Can Support Project Read
Thank you for your donations and support! Love Give Utah was a success and we anticipate continued success at the Spelling Bee, our biggest event of the year. It is through your support during these events that Project Read has been able to expand by:
- Hiring a literacy specialist to teach an open tutoring lab
- Improving and increasing lab technology
- Updating materials by purchasing new tutoring manuals and GED prep materials
- Working on rebranding with a new logo and website
As we strive to improve these services, we continue to ask for your support through recurring donations, in addition to our organized fundraising events. It is through your generous donations that we are able to move to the next level in assisting students and expanding our services. To donate,
Community Presentations: Getting Your Business Involved
Project Read is looking for
to join in serving Utah County. Local businesses play a key role in the effort to reduce illiteracy in the community; through partnerships, we can increase capacity for student intake and referrals, volunteer recruitment and training, brand and literacy awareness, and resource development.
We invite you and your business to team up with Project Read
and the first step is simple—meet with our Expansion Coordinator to discuss the ways you and your business can change lives through literacy.

According to Frank Lloyd Wright, “I know the price of success: dedication, hard work, and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen.” At Project Read, our tutors, students, and staff have the dedication, are putting in the hard work, and are absolutely devoted to changing lives through literacy.
For example, Marietta Peterson's student has started writing her life story. They have also read several books and are working on comprehension in addition to 6th-grade spelling words. Marietta says, "I love working with her. She is an amazing person. I admire her for all the effort she puts forth. She is learning and is keeping current with her skills."
We appreciate the support of our board and volunteer leaders, our colleague organizations, our funders, our Friends of Project Read, those who use our resources, the staff and all those who participate in the programming and management of Project Read—you have built something very special.
As we look toward the end of the fiscal year, we are excited to review the accomplishments of our tutors and students and appreciate your contribution to their success.
