In Motion
Borders and Migrations

This exhibition addresses the U.S.-Mexico border and its unique geographic, political, social, and aesthetic contexts. In Motion: Borders and Migrations expands on the definition of a fixed and knowable boundary between nations and offers alternative perspectives to the cultural give-and-take that occurs there.

Join us for the opening reception and Caleb Duarte's performance piece "Dirt Wall" being performed and filmed the night of the opening reception for "In Motion: Borders and Migrations."

Welcome to Hanksville

MAY 16 - JUN 28
This film examines the congregation of a group of pseudo-scientists on August 27, 2003, during the cosmological opposition of Mars to the Earth. The desert, reminiscent of the vacant landscape on Mars, is transformed into an unknown territory waiting to be explored.

Melik Ohanian: Welcome to Hanksville is the first installation in the Cultural Cartographies series. More>
