It explores the challenges/obstacles of succession planning and the five S's of organizational architecture that relate to succession planning (Strategy, Structure, Systems, Skills, Socialization/Culture)

May 9 - 1:00PM (ET)

Examine critical success factors for succession

This webinar builds on the first session by addressing the current federal government requirements for an effective succession planning program. It examines the Critical Success Factors and the importance of incorporation of workplace planning and mission critical occupations (sometimes referred to as technical succession) into this process. It concludes with a detailed template/job aid for articulating the business case for succession planning to organizational leaders so that this effort can maintain the community it requires for ongoing success.

June 19 - 1:00PM (ET)

Case study for succession planning in a Federal agency

This webinar builds on the first two, focusing on how to implement a customized succession planning program that fits the specific requirements of your agency/department. It looks closely at how to align succession planning with key agency/department strategic goals (particularly with other human capital programs). It explores some of the most successful benchmarked best practices of succession planning (i.e. knowledge transfer, leadership transition and change management). This webinar concludes with a case study of a successful, results-based succession planning program.
