Dear Representative Lifferth,
I will soon graduate as a school counselor. I support HB81 because I cannot in good conscience encourage parents and students to participate in the Common Core testing. We are being asked to trust the test and let our students be subjected to another educational experiment without parental input. The few parents finally allowed to see sample questions (five days to see 10,000 questions) found many objectionable, but few were revised or eliminated and we don't know which objectionable questions remain.
Please vote YES on HB81 and pass it out of committee. HB81 protects parental rights by allowing any parent to participate in the review process for the new SAGE (Common Core) tests.
