Dear Legislator,

Please do all you can to oppose HB 96.  I have been following the many and varied aspects of Common Core and find little, if anything, that will improve education for our children, but much that is detrimental to them and to all of us as citizens of this great Nation.  We need improved education that lifts and inspires our youth, not that which puts them in boxes and, being very kind, hints at changes needed in the Constitution and other areas of government for this wonderful land. Government did not make the United States of American the greatest nation that has ever existed and has done more for more people across the world than any other nation that has every existed;  there are absolutely none that even run a close second.

Yes, I have looked deep into Common Core and when you do you realize the "surface attractions" that seem to grab people are the camel's nose under the tent.  I have talked with several supporters in education and when I question or mention certain aspects of the program that are ridiculous they do not have a clue of what I am talking about.  I tell them to look at this part or that and they apparently know nothing about it.  They have jumped on the "glory" of the surface and know nothing of the depth.  That is not how we judge anything, and especially something that has the potential to destroy our youth's future.  They do no belong in a box as determined by some government official who often can't spell education.

Think your for your consideration, and again, please oppose HB 96.
