Subject: Can we count on your leadership for air quality? Will you be voted out of office if not?
Date: Wed Jan 08 20:20:50 MST 2014
Dear House Member,

The air quality in Salt Lake City is toxic. There are several babies in our family that are ill with rsv, asthma and breathing related issues. I have had 33 days of chronic migraines, related to the pollution, in the course of the last 2 months. It is so bad that our family, (including my mother, my adult children, their spouses and children) are seriously considering moving to another state.

I know that encouraging big business is important to Utah's economy. I have been a Utah small business owner for over 27 years. I believe that business must serve its clients and community. Not the other way around.

There should be stricter limits of pollution that companies are allowed to dump on the citizens who support their businesses.

The oil companies have been given unlimited entitlements to our fair state and its citizens taxes. Now its affecting our health and economy.

It is treasonous and Un-Christian to put the entitlements of these companies ahead of the people who are counting on representation from our leaders. By the way, I am not speaking of the "Corporations Recently Deemed People" who currently control our government to our detriment.

Our pollution is a reflection of your leadership and the word is out. Tourism and people considering relocating here will be affected by it as well as the citizens who live here and are considering leaving.

Please read this letter to the editor from a tourist who came to Salt Lake.

Do the right thing. We are blessed to live in this beautiful state. That blessing requires responsibility to protect it and its people who contribute every single day to the economy and quality of life here.

Thank you for your consideration.
