Angie Lee 932 w 1650 n Harrisville, UT 84404 September 20, 2015 The Honorable David Lifferth 350 North State Street, Suite 350 Salt Lake City, UT 84114 Dear Representative Lifferth, I'm writing this letter asking you to please vote "no" on Medicaid Expansion in Utah. From Healthy Utah to Utah Cares, we've seen plan after plan. But none of them are the right way for Utah to do business. The latest plan would ultimately be a tax on the sick and suffering -- and it just isn't fair. More than a dozen states from Arizona to Arkansas and Washington to West Virginia have taken the siren call of "Free Money" from the federal government, only to find the program coming in way over budget and wildly exceeding cost estimates. And for what? To put thousands of Utahns on a government program from which 3 in 10 doctors won't even accept new patients. Utahns are compassionate people, but there has to be a better way than this. Government should be looking to increase opportunity and get people off government assistance, not add to it. We hope you will do the right thing and vote NO on any plan to expand Medicaid under Obamacare in Utah. Sincerely, Angie Lee
