Dear esteemed members of the Education Committee,
I am writing you in regards to my opposition of HB164. I am opposed to the changes being made in HB164 because it takes away parents rights to have their child opt out of SAGE testing, and it makes SAGE testing determine students grades and grade level advancement. Parents should retain the right to not have their kids take SAGE testing if they feel it is best for their child. If SAGE testing is going to determine grade advancement the test itself needs to be fixed first. At this current time the test is flawed and needs to be looked at before it can determine students grades and grade level advancements. Please vote against HB164. Thank you for you time.
