Subject: Vote YES on SB 259
Date: Sun Mar 01 00:06:59 MST 2015
Currently 34 U.S. states and the District of Columbia permit medical cannabis of some sort, including Utah, which passed HB 105 last year. It’s clear there are millions of Americans finding relief from the symptoms of a wide variety of chronic and fatal illnesses. Utah patients currently have no safe access to this proven effective medicine. If seriously ill patients choose to break the law, they risk becoming a felon and endangering themselves and their families to purchase the medicine on the black market.
By creating safe, legal and controlled access to medical cannabis medicines, Utah would create compassionate care, freedom, and a safe and protected environment for all citizens. Please consider ending the exodus of medical refugees and support this safe access program in our great state.
I am a voter and I strongly support safe access in Utah. Please vote YES on SB 259 and give patients access to the medicine they deserve.
Sincerely, Hope Blake
