Subject: Medicaid Expansion
Date: Sun Feb 22 23:15:17 MST 2015
Governor Herbert’s Healthy Utah Plan for Medicaid expansion is the best method to insure Utah’s most needy citizens. Please support this plan. Deciding not to expand Medicaid at all is cruel and inhumane.
The Preamble of The United States Constitution states “promote the general welfare” of its citizens. It is your duty as a representative of Utah’s citizens to take care of the most vulnerable in our community.
In the event you need additional guidance, please consider the following quote from Alma in The Book of Mormon:
“Yea, and will you persist in turning your backs upon the poor, and the needy, and in withholding your substance from them?
Alma the High Priest took that message to the villages throughout the land.”
Please consider this information in your decision to help the neediest among us: the uninsured.
