I am asking you to oppose H.B. 96 Utah School Readiness Initiative.

Creating a preschool program for some children will eventually lead to compulsory preschool for all children (as is the goal of the Obama administration), which is not beneficial for the child & increases the burden of cost on the education system & taxpayers. Line 84-86 of the bill states that Eligible Local Education Agencies are those who have data systems with the capacity to collect longitudinal data. This will facilitate  an increase of data collection on children at an earlier age without parental consent, which I am strongly opposed to.

Thank you for your consideration,
Pamela Budge
