Dear Mike McKell:
I need your help as part of an important university study we are conducting that has impact on your legislative life. We at the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs want to understand how you, a representative leading the nation’s most influential policy decisions, gather information about the policies you debate on the front lines of the legislative process.
Whom do you contact? What states do you reference or emulate and why? Understanding the process involved in these decisions from your unique perspective can help us identify how to make the best use of all of the information resources available, so that all citizens you serve and represent benefit from the most effective decision making process possible. Once our research is complete, we plan to share our findings on state learning and the policy process with those involved in state policy activities.
To this end, we ask you to share your experiences in developing and implementing energy policy in your state in a brief 20-minute questionnaire. Please be assured that all responses will be kept confidential. Information will be reported in aggregate form only.
