Subject: Please stop/vote NO on SB100
Date: Thu Feb 13 21:24:13 MST 2014
Dear Representatives of districts in the great state of Utah,
I am writing to ask you to please stop the progression of SB100 and any of its amendments. If it comes to a vote, please vote NO.
There are a multitude of reasons not to pass this bill. If we look at history and what has happened in other states after passing similar bills, Utah should want to steer clear of those detrimental consequences.
Text from bill SB100 is troubling. "Gender identity" as it is stated in lines 83-86 can change the fabric, decency and morality of our society. Bathrooms will no longer be "male" or "female" as anyone could use either bathroom, depending on the individuals sense of gender, which could change from moment to moment.
This discrimination bill will end up causing reverse discrimination and take away other citizens' rights when interacting or doing business with those of the LGBT community. Protecting a class of people makes them and their views more important than other citizens.
Please stop or vote NO on SB100.
Thank you for your time and consideration to do the right thing.
