Dear Representative Mike McKell
Congratulations on running for office and participating in the democratic process which makes this country great. You may already know of the important work being accomplished through the nonprofit community in your district, but if not, we wanted to take the opportunity to assist you in getting to know the nonprofit organizations that are serving your community.
Utah Nonprofits Association (UNA) believes that a strong nonprofit sector is fundamental to healthy communities and a vibrant economy. As the umbrella membership organization for nonprofits statewide we work to Unify, Strengthen and Elevate the nonprofit community through technical assistance, training, networking events, data, reports regarding the health and impact of the nonprofit community, and public policy. There are over 5,800 nonprofits serving Utah in every sector, including health, human service providers, educational institutions, arts, cultural, and environmental organizations.
We are pleased to offer you the list below of the nonprofits that serve your district. We hope you reach out to them and learn about what the services they provide and ways you can work with them to solve challenges in your community. The nonprofit voice is an important one that should always be at the table when solving complex community needs.
