Greetings,

Since the 2002 Games, Utah's Olympic and sports legacy efforts not only continue to bring winter Olympic related events to Utah, but major sports events year round.  In fact, the Utah Sports Commission and its many partners have brought over 535 events to the state since the Olympics, bringing an estimated $1.4-1.6 billion in economic impact to Utah and providing $322 million in media value.

The past four months have been exceptionally exciting for the state, as its legacy strategy manifested itself in Utah's own "Road to Sochi" series of events.  13 events were held including the USOC Media Summit, World Cups, a Grand Prix and 3 Olympic Trial events.  Utah received significant exposure as a result of these events, including the article below that was on the home page of the Olympic.org website--the Official Website of the Olympic Movement.
