Feb 10, 2014 Representative Lee Perry State Capitol , Suite 350 350 North State Street Salt Lake City, UT 84114 Dear Representative Perry, I am writing to ask that you support school readiness and vote YES on HB96. Not every child is given the same opportunity to receive high-quality preschool. Those children that do not attend high-quality preschool fall quickly behind and bring their classmates down with them. By providing them an opportunity to enter kindergarten on-track, these children increase their chances of graduating from high school, receiving post-secondary education, and obtaining a stable job. Ultimately, this saves the state and taxpayers millions by avoiding costly remediation programs. I STRONLGY believe in this innovative partnership with the private sector. Let's increase the number of at-risk students who can access high-quality preschool programs, and ensure these children are ready to learn. Let's take a stand together and be on the right side of history. HB96 will have such a positive impact on the state, and on these children's lives. I encourage you to support this VITAL legislation for our kids, our communities, and for the future of our state.
