UWSL Expands Cradle to Career Pipeline in Kearns!

Kearns StudentsUWSL plans to expand into Kearns High School and West Kearns Elementary School. Kearns High School will be the second high school in Utah to adopt the community school model, and the first high school to help build a full cradle to career pipeline in the Kearns area.

Education is the most important engine for economic growth and individual financial gain, yet we know that in order to achieve results in education, we must also focus on linking family and community support. This is especially true in neighborhoods and communities where poverty and other barriers to education are most significant and we are excited to expand this work in the Kearns area.

The beauty of a community school is that it looks different in every community because services are tailored to specific community needs. An on-site Community School Coordinator connects the dots, aligns services, and builds new partnerships to meet ALL the needs of students and their families.

Thank You for LIVING UNITED this Holiday Season!

Recently, at a health care conference sponsored by Utah Health Policy Project, we heard from former Utah Lt. Governor Greg Bell, health experts around the west.
