Does Medicaid Expansion Really Help Employers?

Chances are you've seen the Jackson-Hewitt study and heard the claims that Medicaid expansion will benefit not only the uninsured, but employers as well.

Join us on March 14th, as we discuss the flawed methodology behind the study and the impact of Medicaid expansion on small businesses.

We'll also cover our latest report on the cost overruns in the Arkansas Private Option.

Expert analysis and commentary from

Robert Graboyes, Senior Research Fellow

Mercatus Center at George Mason University and Senior Healthcare Advisor for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in Washington, DC.

Robert  advised NFIB throughout the debate that led to PPACA/Obamacare and NFIB’s subsequent lawsuit that reached the U.S. Supreme Court (2007-2013)

For the past two years, many ObamaCare advocates have pushed the Medicaid expansion by warning state lawmakers that opting out would subject their state’s employers to millions of dollars in new taxes.

These warnings primarily stem from two flawed reports published by Jackson Hewitt, a tax preparation company.

We'll discuss the report, the flawed methodology, and the facts surrounding Medicaid expansion and how states should be looking to reform old Medicaid, not expand it.

We will also have the latest information on the Arkansas Private Option as a follow-up to our call from a few weeks ago. If you missed that call, you can listen to the audio, or read the transcript.

We hope you'll join us!
