Reject HB 417 - ELA Instructional Tool.
House Rules Committee Member,
This stinks that we need elected officials to help control the local curriculum our child is taught. There are way too many cooks in the kitchen. I as a parent totally oppose common core. I oppose HB 417! I oppose the breach of privacy we are now dealing with and this desire to collect so much student data. Just let the teachers teach. This is what they went to school for. I send my child to school to learn and not to be a test dummy. Give parents back their rights to choose for their children what they think is best for them without affecting the child’s grades. Please do NOT replace teacher interaction with a t.v. screen. Don’t we look at enough screens these days as a whole? Please, Please, Please, withdraw this bill HB417. It sinks! Please ask the parents what they want before deciding for us.
