Subject: UT: Missouri Senate Votes to Nullify Federal Gun Control, 23-10
Date: Fri Feb 21 17:16:53 MST 2014
A Missouri bill , SB613, which seeks to nullify virtually every federal gun control measure on the books, “whether past, present , or future,” passed the Senate Thursday (Feb 20). SB613 would ban all statewide entities from enforcing virtually all federal gun control measures and includes criminal charges for federal agents attempting to violate the right to keep and bear arms in Missouri.
The measure passed 23-10.
SB613 counts as what could be the strongest defense against federal encroachments on the right to keep an d bear arms ever considered at the state level. It reads, in part:
Read full story here .All federal acts, laws, executive orders, administrative orders, court orders, rules, and regulations, whether past, present, or future, which infringe on the people’s right to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the United States I and Section 23 of the Missouri Constitution shall be invalid in this state, shall not be recognized by this state, shall be specifically rejected by this state, and shall be considered null and void and of no effect in this state.
The Independent American Party commends Missouri leaders for these actions. This is NULLIFICATION and is the spirit of the 10th Amendment.
In the spirit of Thomas Jefferson we ask, “Are the alternatives two only: submission or arms? Is the choice truly confined to an acceptance of tyranny on the one hand, or a resort to the sword on the other? Every consideration of reason, common sense, and constitutional theory demonstrate that in a civilized and enlightened society, disputes are not to be so resolved.”
Please work to nullify NOT ONLY laws which strip citizens in this state of the 2nd Amendment, but ALL forms of presumed authority from the federal government OUTSIDE its proper, constitutional role.
Thank you sincerely. We look to you as leaders in defense of our God-given rights.
