5 AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $500,000 FROM THE
6 GENERAL FUND TO THE ECCLES COMMUNITY ART CENTER FOR USE IN
7 CONSTRUCTING A NEW BUILDING; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
8 This act enacts uncodified material.
9 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
10 Section 1. Intent.
11 In making this appropriation, the Legislature recognizes the Eccles Community Art Center
12 in Ogden as a valuable contributor to the cultural, historic, and artistic enrichment of the people
13 of the state. It is the intent of the Legislature in making this appropriation to enhance the ability
14 of the Eccles Community Art Center to continue to help meet the statewide public need for
15 cultural, historic, and artistic opportunities.
16 Section 2. Appropriation.
17 There is appropriated $500,000 from the General Fund for fiscal year 1997-98 to the Eccles
18 Community Art Center to use toward construction of a new building to house the Art Center.
19 Section 3. Effective date.
20 This act takes effect on July 1, 1997.
