6    AN ACT RELATING TO THE CRIMINAL CODE; CREATING THE OFFENSE OF
7    INTERFERING WITH SERVICE OF PROCESS BY A PUBLIC OFFICER; AND
8    PROVIDING A PENALTY.
9    This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
10    ENACTS:
11         76-8-301.5, Utah Code Annotated 1953
12    Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
13        Section 1. Section 76-8-301.5 is enacted to read:
14         76-8-301.5. Interference with service of process.
15        (1) A person is guilty of interference with service of process if the person knowingly or
16    intentionally, and without good cause, resists or aids and abets the resistance of service of process
17    by a public officer authorized to execute the process by any court.
18        (2) Interference with service of process is a class B misdemeanor.
