6 AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $800,000 FROM THE
7 GENERAL FUND FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998-99 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF
8 TRANSPORTATION FOR TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEMS; AND PROVIDING AN
9 EFFECTIVE DATE.
10 This act enacts uncodified material.
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12 Section 1. Appropriation.
13 (1) There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 1998-99, $800,000 to the
14 Department of Transportation.
15 (2) It is the intent of the Legislature that this appropriation shall be used for the purpose
16 of developing, preparing to install, and installing a traffic signal emergency priority control system
17 within the automated traffic management system (A.T.M.S.) component of the Interstate 15
18 reconstruction project.
19 (3) The money appropriated in Subsection (1) is nonlapsing.
20 Section 2. Effective date.
21 This act takes effect on July 1, 1998.
