8 EXTENSION FOR A LANDSCAPE WATER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM; AND
9 PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
10 This act enacts uncodified material.
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12 Section 1. Appropriation.
13 (1) Except as provided in H.B. 4, Appropriations Coordination Act, there is appropriated
14 S [ $250,000 ] $100,000 s from the General Fund for fiscal year 1999-2000 to Utah State University Extension for
15 a landscape water management program.
16 (2) The money appropriated in Subsection (1) may be used to hire personnel and pay for
17 operating expenses necessary to gather information, conduct research, and, through extension
18 offices, disseminate information and conduct training on the efficient use of water on lawns and
19 gardens, parks, golf courses, highway landscaping, and other similar landscaped areas.
20 (3) The money appropriated in Subsection (1) is nonlapsing.
21 Section 2. Effective date.
22 This act takes effect on July 1, 1999.
