5 AN ACT RELATING TO PUBLIC UTILITIES; AMENDING THE REPORTING
6 REQUIREMENT FOR THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION TO REPORT ANNUALLY
7 TO VARIOUS ENTITIES.
8 This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
9 AMENDS:
10 54-8b-2.5, as last amended by Chapter 18, Laws of Utah 1998
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12 Section 1. Section 54-8b-2.5 is amended to read:
13 54-8b-2.5. Report to governor and Legislature.
14 Beginning October 15, 1998, and [biannually] annually thereafter, the commission shall
15 submit a report to the governor, Legislature, the Public Utilities and Technology Interim
16 Committee, and Information Technology Commission on the state of the telecommunications
17 industry and make recommendations for any regulatory changes necessary to achieve the policy
18 of the state as set forth in Section 54-8b-1.1 . The commission shall determine criteria to be used
19 to evaluate the performance of price regulation and the information necessary to conduct the
20 evaluation.
