APPROPRIATION FOR LITTLE COTTONWOOD

6 AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $2,000,000 FROM THE
7 GENERAL FUND FOR FISCAL YEAR 1999-2000 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF
8 TRANSPORTATION FOR A SNOWSHED FOR AVALANCHE HAZARD REDUCTION ON
9 SR-210; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
10 This act enacts uncodified material.
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12 Section 1. Appropriation.
13 (1) Except as provided in H.B. 4, Appropriations Coordination Act, there is appropriated
14 from the General Fund for fiscal year 1999-2000, $2,000,000 to the Department of Transportation.
15 (2) (a) It is the intent of the Legislature that this appropriation shall be used to construct
16 a snowshed for avalanche hazard reduction in Little Cottonwood Canyon in the Whitepine Chutes
17 avalanche area on State Route 210.
18 (3) The money appropriated in Subsection (1) is nonlapsing.
19 Section 2. Effective date.
20 This act takes effect on July 1, 1999.
