Senator Poulton proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Line 6:    After "OBTAIN" delete "UNANIMOUS LEGISLATIVE BODY"

2.    Page 1, Line 7:    After "RATE" insert "FROM 70% OF THE MEMBERS OF THE TAXING ENTITY'S LEGISLATIVE BODY"

3.    Page 5, Line 129:    After "(b)" insert "and subject to Subsection (5)(c)"

4.    Page 5, Line 132:    After "obtain" delete "unanimous"

5.    Page 5, Line 133:    After "from" insert "70% of"

6.    Page 5, Line 143:    After Line 143 insert:
        "(c) For purposes of Subsection (5)(a), a county shall obtain approval from 70% of the members of the county legislative body to impose the tax rate described in Subsection (5)(a) during a budget hearing:
        (i) under Section 17-36-13; and
        (ii) during November or December of the year before the year in which the county imposes the tax rate described in Subsection (5)(a)."
