Rep. Buttars called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m.

Committee members and staff were welcomed and introduced.


H.B. 56    Bow Hunter Safety (N. Hansen)

Rep. Hansen introduced H.B. 56 and explained it to the committee.

Spoke in favor of the bill:    Mike Fowlks, Division of Wildlife Resources

MOTION:    Rep. Donnelson moved to amend the bill as follows:

Page 1, Line 27:    After “state” delete “or nationally

The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Gowans and Rep. Ure absent for the vote.




MOTION:    Rep. Donnelson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. Cox, Rep. Dayton, and Rep. Styler voting in opposition. Rep. Gowans and Rep. Ure were absent for the vote.


H.B. 182    Air Conservation Act Amendments (M. Morley)

Rep. Morley introduced H.B. 182 and explained it to the committee.

Spoke to the bill:    Fred Nelson, Office of the Attorney General

Spoke in favor of the bill:    Brent Bradford, Department of Environmental Quality

MOTION:    Rep. Anderson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. Urquhart voting in opposition.

MOTION:    Rep. Donnelson moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
