Sen. Evans called the meeting to order at 8:20 a.m.

1.    H.B. 43 PREAUTHORIZATION OF FUNDING OF STATE AND COUNTRY HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES TASK FORCE (Rep. J. Seitz)

    
Rep. Seitz presented the bill to the committee.

    Mark Walsh, UAC spoke in favor of the bill.

    
2.    S.B. 95 STATE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES AMENDMENTS     (Sen. J. Valentine)

    Sen. Valentine presented the bill to the committee.
    
    Joy Erickson, American Heart Association spoke in favor of the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Thomas moved to pass S.B. 95 out of the committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. B. Evans absent at the time of the vote.



    MOTION: Sen. Thomas moved to pass H. B. 43 out of the committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.          

     MOTION: Sen. Julander moved to approve the minutes of January 21st and 23rd.

    The motion passed unanimously.

3.     H. B. 44 SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND MENTAL HEALTH AMENDMENTS (Rep. L. Pace)

    Rep. Pace presented the bill to the committee.

    MOTION: Sen. Allen moved to pass H. B. 44 out of the committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unaimously.

4.     H. B. 180 TRAUMA REGISTRY DATA (Rep. S. Allen)

    
Rep. Allen presented the bill to the committee.

    Val Bateman , UMA and Clay Mann. Assoc. Prof. University of Utah spoke in favor of the bill.

    MOTION: Sen. Julander moved to pass H. B. 180 out of the committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. B. Evans moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously.

    Committee Chair J. Evans adjourned the meeting at 9:20 a.m.
