Committee Chair Evans called the meeting to order at 8:25 a.m.

Committee members were introduced.

1. S.B. 35 REDEVELOPMENT OF SUPERFUND SITES (C. Buttars)

Sen. Curtis Buttars introduced the bill. Lee King, Midvale City Administrator; Christine Richman, Director, Midvale City; Steve Peterson, Executive Director of Utah School Board Administrators Association and Ralph Haws, Jordan School District Board of Education spoke to the bill.

    MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to pass S.B. 35 REDEVELOPMENT OF SUPERFUND SITES out with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.

Chair Evans turned the chair to Sen. Jenkins.

2. S. B. 36 MINERAL LEASE FUND AMENDMENTS (B. Evans)

Sen. Beverly Evans presented the bill.

    MOTION: Sen. Hatch moved to pass S.B. 36 MINERAL LEASE FUND AMENDMENTS out with a favorable recommendation.




    The motion passed unanimously.

Sen. Jenkins returned the chair to Sen. Evans. Sen. Evans introduced staff members Policy Analyst Brian Allred and Secretary Norda Shepard.

     MOTION: Sen. Hellewell moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously.

Chair Evans adjourned the meeting at 8:55 a.m.
