Snow called the meeting to order at 5:10 p.m. HB0133 Property Tax - Veteran's Exemption (Rep. D. Bush)     Rep. Bush introduced the bill and explained it to the committee. Rep. Snow turned the chair over to Rep. Harper. MOTION:     Rep. Seitz moved to transmit the bill out favorably. The motion passed

unanimously with Rep. Clark absent for the vote. SB0171 Property Tax Treatment of Transportable Factory-Built Housing Units (Sen. C. Bramble)     Sen. Bramble introduced the bill and explained it to the committee. Dale Zabriske, Utah Manufactures Homes Association spoke in favor of the bill.

MOTION:     Rep. Anderson moved to transmit the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Clark absent for the vote. HB0045 Individual Income Tax Amendments for Education Funding (Rep. P. Jones)     Rep. Jones introduced the bill and explained it to the committee. Rep. Mascaro assisted with the explanation of the bill. Clark Snelson, Private Citizen, Pat Russ, Utah Education Association, Ken Zenger, American Federation of Teachers, and Dona Gleves, Co-Chair of Education for Persons with Disabilities spoke in favor of the bill. Jaynie Brown, Private Citizen, Gail Ruzieka, Utah Eagle Forum, Mike Jerman, Utah Taxpayers Association, and Marlyn Simister, Private Citizen spoke in opposition of the bill. MOTION:     Rep. Moss moved to transmit the bill out favorably. The motion failed with Reps. Allen, Buffmire, Anderson, Daniels, Lawrence, and Moss voting in favor, and Reps. Frank, Last, Harper, Clark, Philpot, Peterson, Snow, and Seitz voting in opposition. MOTION:     Rep. Snow moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
